WoW Tofu Stirfry? sure why not?

So, last night was our first second night making Tofu stir-fry. we used supre firm tofu, as thats what "THE INTERNET©" said. Oddly enough our first attempt went really well, but with a few minor issues post break
:
  1. I used a marinade like I was told to, but the marinade I made was actually a glaze instead. It did not work at all. It was good, but it was neither a glaze nor a marinade and it suffered. The tofu became was to sweet.
  2. I let the tofu cook with all the other vegetables and sauces, including marinade, and this just made the tofu super wet and more like it was in a soup than as a solid thing.
  3. I don't know how long I need to press tofu. I think I didn't do it long enough
So, on time number 2 we tried a different technique. I pressed it for a bit longer, and changed the paper towels half way through. I went through and made a real marinade instead of a glaze. Then the finale, I put the tofu in after pressing it and dry fried it on a non-stick wok. This actually really worked and I am surprised that it browned up so nice. Then marinade, then saute veggies, saute tofu separately, combine and saute a final time and serve.

I was really good. I'm going to call it another qualified success. First, I did not marinade it long enough, only 15 min or so. Next time i will do the dry-fry then marinade it overnight. Then the rest. The tofu doesn't seem nearly so intimidating as it has in the past. So there's that.and the final piece of good news is I am no longer afraid to eat the tofu. So yay, personal growth.

After dinner we played a bit of World of Warcraft (where I am already a grandmaster cook, like every other player on the game). But I finished the Children's Week Achievements so my druid is now a "Matron". The piece i was missing was the PVP component. which as you will be aware soon enough, I suck at. hard. Like so hard, I play resto druid, and I still suck at it. But what ever, I got it, and I don't need to play any more pvp for a long while. Screw you PVP. I feel accomplished getting that title, but more accomplished cooking real life bean paste. So, Screw. You.
